Learning Support
QSI Sarajevo values the unique strengths and needs of each learner and strives to support a wide range of students within our school community. While we can provide support for certain learning needs, we encourage families to contact the school office to discuss what services may be available. Working collaboratively with parents is central to our approach, as we believe strong partnerships help students develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our learning support structure includes an on-site learning support teacher, a school counselor, and a regional learning support coordinator who supports the school from off-site. Together, this team works closely with classroom teachers and families to determine appropriate accommodations and to identify strategies and resources that support student learning. When needs extend beyond what the school can directly provide, families are guided toward external professionals and services for additional support.
Students who qualify for learning support services are provided with a Learning Support Plan. This plan may include academic adjustments, behavioral strategies, or guidance related to medical considerations. QSI Sarajevo is prepared to support students with mild to moderate learning needs. When a student’s needs exceed the scope of available school based services, we collaborate with an established global organization that assists families in identifying appropriate outside support options.
Decisions regarding admission for students who require learning support are made by the School Director, taking into account the school’s capacity to provide effective and appropriate services. Throughout this process, our focus remains on thoughtful decision making, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to student well being and growth.
Families who have questions about learning support services or who feel their child may benefit from additional assistance are encouraged to contact the school office so that next steps can be discussed together.
